The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the academic year 1995 and has annual intake of 180 students and has M.E Program in Applied Electronics. The department received Dr.Amitabha Bhattacharyya Memorial Trophy" presented by "The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI]" as the "Third Best Engineering College Students' Chapter for the Year 2018-2019”. STAFFORDSHIRE UNIVERSITY, UK and EDUCATION MATTERS Presented Teaching Awards In Engineering to the dept. of ECE -2019. The Department has received AICTE-CII award for Best Industry linked Electronics & Allied Engineering in the year 2015. The Department has extensive and fruitful interactions with the industry, R&D organizations and other professional bodies (ISTE, IEI, IEEE, IETE, IACSIT), the interactions with them culminate into professional activities, research agendas and partnerships through MOUs. The Department has conducted two National Level FDPs in the thrust area of Telemedicine under the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Program(2021-22). Our dept. received funded projects worth Rs. 1,02,05,000/- from AICTE, DST and other industries. Johnson Controls India Pvt. Ltd & Tata Elxi are the knowledge partners of our dept. The department has established the centre of Excellences (CoE) in Telecom, VLSI Design, IOT, Automotive Electronics and Robotic Process automation in association with the industries(JCI, Tata Elxi, TCS, HCL, WIPRO) to provide training and develop products in those areas.
