Dr.M.Sheerin Banu, B.E, M.Tech, Ph.D., is Professor and Head in the Department of Information Technology at R.M.K. Engineering College, since July 2019. She has 27 years of teaching experience. She received her B.E degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, M.Tech degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and Ph.D degree from Mother Teresa Women’s University. She served as Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at R.M.D. Engineering College. She also served as Professor and
Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sethu Institute of Technology. Her research areas of interests include Image Processing, Mobile Computing, Data Analytics, Data Science and Machine Learning. She has led the Big Data Analytics Centre of Excellence Team since 2016. She is a Data Science trainer and has trained around 150 plus students. She is the Licensed Professor for Qlik Academic Program. She has organized 10-Day training program in Big Data Analytics, 5-Day training program in Mobile App Development using iOS, 10-Day Training Program in Data Science and Two-Day Faculty Development Program on Recent Trends in Data Science. She has guided projects for many undergraduates and post-graduate students. She has published 27 papers in Conferences and Journals. She is a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Member of the Institution of Engineers (India), Member of Association for Computing Machinery(ACM), Member of Analytics Society of India, IIM Bangalore.
