Dr. Geetha Ramadas , Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering  has  teaching experience of  35 years.  She completed her B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) with  Honours from Calicut University during 1986 and completed her M.E in High voltage Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University during 2001.She did her Ph.D in Induction Motor Design and Control  from Madras Institute of Technology.Prior to joining RMKEC, she served as a Faculty in Bharat Institute of Science and Technology for 4 years. She has an industrial experience of 4 Years.Her areas of interest include High Voltage Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Electrical Machines, Solar Photovoltaic and Wind Energy Systems. She has published more than 40 papers in International journals and conferences. She filed 6 patents out of which 3 patents got published and 3 granted.She has organized National level Technical Workshops and National and International Conferences. She is a Recognized Research Supervisor of Anna University. She has guided more than 10 PG students and 11 Ph.D scholars.She is involved in NBA, NAAC, and NIRF activities of the institution. She is also taking care of the R&D activities of our college. She is the recipient of ISTE Best faculty Advisor award in 2021 and 2022 as well as reciperient of an award from ISTE for guiding best M.Tech thesis in Engineering during March 2023.She is a fellow of Institution of Engineers (I) and life member of ISTE.
