The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was established in the year 2020, with Cognizant as its knowledge partner to offer an industry relevant program.
Our Mission is to instill in the students the knowledge for world class technical competence, entrepreneurial skill and a spirit of innovation in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to solve real world problems. We also inculcate right attitude and discipline and develop industry ready professionals for serving the society.
The Department has state of art laboratory and well qualified, highly experienced and dedicated team of faculty trained in the recent trends of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT: The complete curriculum and the syllabus is designed in line with the rapidly changing industry landscape in the era of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Course contents are developed by domain experts from Cognizant and distinguished academia. Cognizant being our knowledge partner, Cognizant provides 40% of the curriculum requirements. The course delivers in-demand skills that make the students excel and build a dynamic career. Courses from Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are covered respectively.
FACULTY STRENGTH: The Department has a dedicated and experienced faculty team who are on par with the industry trends and requirements. Faculty members are trained by industry experts from Wipro Technologies, Cognizant, Virtusa and TCS to nurture the student’s technical skills. A Research team in the domain of AI & ML collaborates with the industry to develop socially relevant real-time projects.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: The Department is a recognized centre for Research by Anna University and faculty members are doing research in the recent developments of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Our faculty are regularly engaged in consultancy activities with industries. Our faculty and students have published research articles in reputed journals and conferences and published patents.
PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES & STUDENTS CLUB ACTIVITIES: Co-curricular and Extra-curricular talents showcased through Department Student’s Association and 13 Student Clubs right from First Year. Various activities are organized by the ADS Students Association and Analytics Society of India (ASI) Student Chapter to enrich their learning experience. Students are also part of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Students Chapter.
