Science and Humanities

The Department of Science & Humanities (S&H) provides an excellent academic ambience to succeed in an increasingly complex and technological era. The department is known for its consistency in producing a minimum of 90% results and is placed at one of the top positions, among the technical institutions in the state.

The journey through basic sciences encourages and nourishes Problem-Solving ability, Critical thinking and Creative thinking amidst students. Conceptual learning is imbibed through mini-projects, assignments and MCQs. The department provides opportunities for our students to think out-of-the-box, to get moulded as world-class professionals and capable of contributing to the welfare of the society through various activities conducted in the department. Skill-based activities like technical club projects help in enhancing the technical knowledge of our students. Extra-curricular activities are encouraged through various clubs, viz. Cultural club, Photography club, Math club, Coding club, Science and Innovation club, RMKEC TEDx club, Language club etc.

The Department has Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and General Engineering under its canopy. The dedicated gamut of highly qualified and experienced faculty is engaged in training the students’ skills, requisite for a bright career. They have commendable achievements to their credit in the areas of research and publications. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry divisions of the Department have been approved as Research Centers by the Anna University.
